SWYP: See What You Publish, publishing web-based application
- Co-founder and team leader of a project which prints 8 million issues per month for 100 magazines.
- Invented the name “SWYP” which was accepted by an 8 person committee.
- Set up a weekly iterative shipment, inspired by “eXtreme Programming” management practices.
- Developed a module to ease maintenance and support by monitoring and fixing possible failures.
- Designed an innovative system to annotate magazine pages based on user experience.
Enterprise portal for huge accounting firm
- Built a communication tool between 3,000 company employees and their 60,000 clients.
- Personally increased project income 4-fold due to a relationship based on trust & reliability.
- Developed an instant update of data using web services to communicate with the company’s ERP.
French museum of photography collection management software
- Created a collaborative and context-sensitive help system to enter technical data.
- Wrote a module to supply data to a website which was inaugurated in front of 300 people.
Throughout LQC experience
- Specified and co-developed a library of scripts which are the base of all company applications.
- Analyzed, bought, set up and administrated server infrastructure (Unix/Linux and Windows).
- Performed all tasks of sales cycle: from phone solicitation of new clients to customer service and support.
- Involved in the hiring process of the company by interviewing applicants.
Feb. 2003 — Feb. 2004, TutorObjects: Project manager
- Personally developed an industry standard compliant web-based learning management system (SCORM).
- This LMS was sold to a French national bank: 10,000 users including 500 simultaneous connections.
- Daily collaboration with US partners who sold the solution to BP, Powell, Verbatim, ...
Nov. 2002, Honeywell: Software engineer
- Developed an interface for a layman to import data into a database using MS Excel.
Jan. 2002, Dièse: Developer
- Finished Honeywell’s intranet begun by a previous engineer.
- Used a polymorphic database structure to adapt to the huge diversity of product features.
Personal projects
Computer science
- Created the company “Spirit Software”, editor of SAP audit software.
- Currently developing an iPhone app to manage notifications on Google Reader RSS feed.
- Designed & wrote presentation websites (HTML5, CSS3 and JS), including a photo zoom feature.
- Developed a “Google Wave” robot in Python which detects and shows an image from an URL.
- Dove into the core concepts of Javascript and jQuery to extend one of their UI function (Draggable).
“The real world”
- Read and write literature materials (fairy tales, poems and novel in both French and English).
- Played golf at a high level (handicap 7, national championship) and now play for fun.
- Organized a 20km running race in Évry, France.
I speak French (native language), English (fluent) and learn Russian (elementary proficiency).
